Low floor DTC bus catches fire
December 12th, 2009 - 11:49 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS) A low floor bus of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) caught fire here Saturday, a fire official said. No one was, however, injured in the incident.
This is the fourth time in the past 17 days that a low floor bus running on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) has caught fire in Delhi.
The bus running between Badarpur border and Gurgaon in Haryana caught fire at 9.20 a.m. near Prahaladpur area in south Delhi.
“Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. Nobody was injured in the fire,” a fire officer said.
The Delhi government has already ordered an inquiry into the incidents.
