New Delhi, Nov 3 (IANS) India dominates the list of 12 books long-listed for the Man Asian Literary Prize, the Booker for Asia.

The contenders are:

“Rebirth” by Jahnavi Barua (India)

“The Sly Company of People Who Care” by Rahul Bhattacharya (India)

“The Colonel” by Mahmoud Dowlatabadi (Iran)

“River of Smoke” by Amitav Ghosh (India)

“1Q84″ by Haruki Murakami (Japan)

“The Folded Earth” by Anuradha Roy (India)

“Please Look After Mom” by Kyung Sook-Sin (South Korea)

“The Valley of Masks” by Tarun J. Tejpal (India)

“Dream of Ding Village” by Yan Lianke (China)

“The Lake” by Banana Yoshimoto (Japan)
