LeT militant killed in Jammu and Kashmir
May 24th, 2011 - 11:30 am ICT by IANSJammu, May 24 (IANS) A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant was gunned down by security forces in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said Tuesday.
“There were three militants holed up in a hideout in the jungle in Dera ki Gali. One of them has been killed, while two are still trapped,” Inspector General of Police (Jammu) Dilbag Singh told IANS.
Security forces had mounted an assault Monday evening on the militant hideout in Dera ki Gali forests, about 200 km north of Jammu.
The identity of the slain militant is yet to be established.
