Ghaziabad, Jan 7 (IANS) A lawyer filed an application in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here Friday, opposing the CBI’s closure report in the Aarushi murder case. In his application, Sanjay Tyagi said that being an awakened lawyer and citizen, he submitted that the court should not accept the closure report and order a further probe in the case.
He also sought that the court direct the CBI to interrogate Noida hospital staffers, officers and doctors who had allegedly doctored articles related to the case thus spoiling the investigation and leading to the CBI submitting a closure report.
He also sought the court’s direction to the CBI to take action against Additional Superintendent of Police A.G.L. Kaul, the investigating officer of the case, for submitting the closure report in the unsolved case without interrogating the Noida district hospital staff.
The special CBI court Friday adjourned hearing in the Aarushi murder case till Jan 21 and asked the probe agency to provide all documents, including its closure report, to the victim’s parents.
Aarushi Talwar, 14, was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in her parents’ Jalvayu Vihar apartment in Noida, May 16, 2008. Their domestic help Hemraj’s body was found on the flat’s terrace a day later.
