November 23rd, 2010 - 12:48 pm ICT by IANSBhangar (West Bengal), Nov 23 (IANS) A new book named “India My Love” by Dominique Lapierre - the author of bestsellers “The City Of Joy” and “Freedom at Midnight” - is scheduled to hit the stands early next year.
“My new book ‘India My Love’ will be released sometime early in the coming year,” Lapierre said at a press conference in Bhangar, around 30 km from here Monday.
The book will first be published in Italian and its English version will come out around September.
“I want to show my love for India to the citizens of Europe and America,” the author said.
The book will depict the capacity of the people of India to share and overcome the adversities of life.
“It will also throw light on the different mesmerising experiences that I have shared with rural India over the years,” Lapierre said.
“The narration in the book, depicting the story of love which the Indians share with each other, is a salute to the spirit of the nation…,” he added.
