According to police, a 25-kg landmine was recovered from Balekhera jungle after villagers informed police about it.
The landmine was later defused.
Garwah is around 130 km from Ranchi.
In another development, Maoists Friday set on fire a goods-laden truck at Ketasuti village of the same district on Friday. Refusal by a local businessman, who owned the goods, to pay the “levy” was said to be the reason Maoists set the truck on fire.
