Labourer killed as wall collapses
May 24th, 2011 - 1:17 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 23 (IANS) A 60-year-old labourer was killed and three injured as the wall of an under-construction building in west Delhi collapsed, a fire official said.
“We received a call at around 5.45 p.m. that a wall collapsed at WZ/43 of Chawkandi Extension of Tilak Nagar area. Two fire brigade teams rushed to the spot,” said the official.
Four people were taken out of rubbles and taken to Deen Dayal Upadhya Hospital where doctors declared Vijay, 60 dead. Satish, 32, Jaipal, 35, and Azad 34, were critical and are undergoing treatment, said a police officer.
