‘L.A. Confidential’ tops list of best movies on LA
September 2nd, 2008 - 1:27 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Sep 2 (IANS) The 1997 hit movie “L.A. Confidential” has topped a poll to find the best movies on Los Angeles culture.The 1997 cop drama beat “Boogie Nights” and “Jackie Brown” in the poll conducted by Los Angeles Times, reports contactmusic.com.
The year 1997 appears to have been a vintage year for movies about Los Angeles - the top three films all came out that year. The movies polled were all released in the last 25 years and feature the city as a “main character”.
