Kolkata girl raped in Patna
April 14th, 2011 - 12:47 pm ICT by IANSPatna, April 14 (IANS) A woman in her early 20s who had eloped from Kolkata with her boyfriend was raped and dumped on a roadside here, police said Thursday.
Residents informed police that a girl was lying unconscious on a bypass. She was admitted to a hospital for treatment, police said.
According to police, the girl arrived here from Kolkata Tuesday by train after eloping with her boyfriend, Ravi Kumar, a native of Bhagalpur. She had reportedly left her home with cash and gold ornaments.
Kumar is missing, police said.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Alok Kumar said police are investigating the case.
