Kolkata airport official dies after fall
September 17th, 2011 - 11:35 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Sep 17 (IANS) A Kolkata airport official died after falling from an upper floor of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) building here Saturday.
K.K. Gupta, general manager, ATC, of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but died a little later, said Belgharia (North 24 Parganas) Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sudip Roy.
“But we cannot say whether he jumped to his death or accidentally fell or there was some other cause of death. We are awaiting the investigation report,” Roy told IANS.
However, another police official claimed that Gupta committed suicide by jumping from the eighth floor of the building.
