Kite carries flier of the ground
April 13th, 2011 - 2:59 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, April 13 (IANS) A man was carried nearly seven metres off the ground while flying a kite at a festival in China’s Jiangsu province. He hung on there for several minutes as stunned locals looked on.
The incident took place in Huai’an when the man was flying a phoenix-shaped kite that was gigantic in size - 40 metres long and 30 metres wide, the Global Times reported Wednesday.
Suddenly, there was a gust of wind that carried the kite high into the clouds. While others dropped their kite strings, the man didn’t and he was hoisted up.
An onlooker managed to tie the kite string to a pole and hauled back the kite and the man.
