Keralite priest shot dead in Nepal

Thrissur (Kerala), July 1 (IANS) A Catholic priest from Kerala was shot dead in Nepal Tuesday by a gang of robbers, his religious order said here. Johnson Moyalan, 52, from Ollur in Thrissur district, was attacked around 1 a.m. He belonged to the Roman Catholic religious order of Salesians of Don Bosco.
“Moyalan and two other priests were running a Parish and an educational institution at Dharan near Sirsia in Nepal,” C.J. Sebastian, rector of Don Bosco in Thrissur district, told IANS. Sirsia is around four hours drive from Siliguri in West Bengal.
