Kelly Rowland quits ‘The X-Factor’
May 1st, 2012 - 6:07 pm ICT by IANSLos Angeles, May 1 (IANS) Singer Kelly Rowland has quit as a judge on “The X-Factor” music competition and has no plans to return to the popular TV show.
No further details of her departure from the show were revealed, but before her official statement, she posted on Twitter: “Only god can judge me.”
“I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget. I would like to thank Simon (Cowell) for the great opportunity and asking me to be a judge last season,” she had said in a statement.
A spokesperson from the show said: “Kelly’s immense experience in the music industry shone through in both her judging and mentoring on ‘The X-Factor’ and we would like to thank her for being a part of the show and wish her well for the future.”
