Keen to strengthen partnership with Germany: Manmohan Singh

New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) India is keen to strengthen its strategic partnership with Germany, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said here Tuesday.
“We look forward to further strengthening our strategic partnership,” Manmohan Singh said here while addressing a joint press conference with visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
He said that terrorism is a “serious threat that should be fought on all fronts and selectively”.
The prime minister said the two leaders discussed the situation in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Middle East and Libya.
Earlier, four agreements regarding cooperation in different fields, including science, bio-technology and nano technology, were signed in the presence of the two leaders.
Chancellor Merkel, accompanied by a high-level team, arrived in New Delhi Tuesday on a one-day official visit.
