Kayani, Gilani, Zardari meet

Islamabad, Sep 29 (IANS) Pakistan Army chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari held a meeting here Wednesday night to review the issues facing the country following strained ties with the US.
The meeting took place over a stand-off between Washington and Islamabad over an accusation that the country’s powerful spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence, was supporting the Haqqani network that had carried out attacks against US interests in Afghanistan.
The meeting was held in the Presidency, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that the meeting reviewed the current issues facing the country.
The meeting lasted for nearly two hours.
