Katy B not confident about award win
August 29th, 2011 - 3:41 am ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 29 (IANS) Singer Katy B is not confident that her debut album “On a Mission” will be crowned the winner at the forthcoming Barclaycard Mercury Prize.
The 22-year-old is nominated along with others singer including Adele and Tinie Tempah for the award ceremony which recognizes the best British albums of the last 12 months.
“I really don’t think I’ll win it but I’m just happy to be nominated. It’s a great award because it’s about recognizing the album rather than it being about a single or being a big seller. It’s all about the music,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted the 22-year-old as saying.
The award will take place Sep 6 here.
