Katich in top nick at SCG nets
July 20th, 2011 - 8:07 pm ICT by IANSSydney, July 20 (IANS) Former Australian cricketer Simon Katich looked in top form when he returned to the nets for the first time since his shocking dumping by Cricket Australia.
Katich joined his New South Wales (NSW) teammates on a frosty Sydney morning Tuesday at the SCG’s indoor nets - less than 50m from where the left-hander lashed out at the selectors last month when his contract was cut.
Katich padded up to face Moises Henriques and young quick Nic Bills and said he felt “great” at the nets.
“It was great to get back into the skills work after all the hard work we’ve been doing the past few months,” Katich was quoted as saying in Daily Telegraph.
