Karunanidhi wins, son Stalin trails
May 13th, 2011 - 7:31 pm ICT by IANSChennai, May 13 (IANS) Tamil Nadu’s outgoing chief minister and DMK president M. Karunanidhi has won from his native town of Tiruvarur, defeating his AIADMK rival Rajendran.
Karunanidhi polled over 109,014 votes, while Rajendran’s tally was 58,765.
This is the first time Karunanidhi was contesting from his home town.
Meanwhile, his son and outgoing deputy chief minister M.K. Stalin is trailing his AIADMK rival Saidai Duraisamy in Kolathur.
