Karnataka governor hosts dinner for RIC foreign ministers
October 28th, 2009 - 12:39 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bangalore, Oct 27 (IANS) Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj Tuesday hosted dinner for the foreign ministers of Russia, India and China (RIC) and their accompanying delegates at Raj Bhavan in the heart of the city.
External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi were also treated to a fusion music concert on the occasion by renowned musician L. Subramaniam before dinner on the sprawling lawns of the governor’s official residence.
The three foreign ministers held their ninth trilateral meeting in the city earlier in the day and signed a joint declaration to deepen and strengthen their interaction on various issues for the benefit of the people in the three countries and peace and stability in the region.
Krishna and Yang also held bilateral talks for 90 minutes after the trilateral dialogue where the two leaders had fruitful exchange of views on all aspects of relations between the two countries, officials said.
