Juvenile strangled over cup of tea
September 27th, 2011 - 12:19 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 26 (IANS) A juvenile hawker was strangled to death by a young tea vendor following a quarrel over a cup of tea in east Delhi, police said Monday.
Manju, 16, an artificial jewellery seller, was killed by Arif, 19, who along with his father Sharif runs a tea stall, police said.
The victim and Arif operated their stalls near New Seelampur police station.
Sanjay Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of police, said: “Preliminary investigations have revealed that Manju and Arif had a quarrel over tea.”
Manju was infuriated as Arif, instead of serving him tea, was doing so to other customers.
