New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) The Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan has asked Karnataka High Court Chief Justice P.D. Dinakaran to proceed on leave, pending the outcome of an impeachment motion against him in parliament.
The apex court panel of the five seniormost judges has also recommended that Delhi High Court Acting Chief Justice Madan B. Lokur be appointed in his place.

Apex court sources said that Justice Dinakaran has been asked to go on leave owing to the state high court facing administrative problem. Justice Dinakaran has already been asked not to conduct any judicial proceeding.

Since December, he has been supervising only the administrative work of the court, but there has been a lack of of coordination and mismatch between judicial proceeding and administrative work, sources said.

Justice Dinakaran is facing allegations of corruption and land grab.
