JK Tyre Junior Cup: Another triple for Mohit Aryan
April 17th, 2011 - 9:09 pm ICT by IANSChennai, April 17 (IANS) While Mohit M Aryan (Wallace Sports) extended his dominance by winning all the three races for a clean sweep, the only girl on the grid, Alisha Abdullah (Rams Racing) had two podium finishes in the JK Tyre Junior Cup series here Sunday.
Mohit, the 20-year old from Chennai, who had achieved a treble Saturday, completed a perfect weekend and appears certain to clinch the title. The series concludes next weekend when another six rounds would be run.
Alisha, also from Chennai, came away with a second place in the fourth round and a third in the fifth.
Alisha said: “I performed well in the races today. Being the only girl participant has never deterred me from giving my best shot. The moment I am in the car, I don’t think myself as a girl and my only aim is to perform well and beat the others in the competition.”
