Jewellery shop in Ghaziabad robbed of Rs.3.65 mn

Ghaziabad, Feb 7 (IANS) Six armed men robbed jewellery worth Rs.3.5 million and Rs.150,000 in cash from a shop here Saturday, the police said.
The incident occurred at around 6 p.m. Saturday in Chiranjiv Vihar under Kavi Nagar police station in Ghaziabad.

The owner of the jewellery store Sanjay Verma said: “A man in his early 20s came to the shop and made an inquiry. Soon, three other armed men barged into the shop and looted Rs.150,000 cash and nearly Rs.3.5 million worth of jewellery”.

“Two of their accomplices were waiting outside and they fled the scene on motorcycles,” Verma said.
