Jeweller, son, guard killed in Uttar Pradesh
June 10th, 2011 - 9:56 pm ICT by IANSEtah (Uttar Pradesh), June 10 (IANS) Unidentified gunmen shot dead three people, including a jeweller and his son, here Friday, police said, adding that no looting had taken place.
The gunmen barged into Vijay Verma’s jewellery shop in Jaithra town and shot dead Verma, his son Yogesh and a private security guard Santosh, Senior Superintendent of Police Lakshmi Narayan said.
“The three were apparently not killed to loot as the gunmen did not take away any jewellery, cash and other valuables from the shop,” he told reporters in Etah, some 350 km from Lucknow.
