Jennifer Hudson returns to television
June 25th, 2012 - 4:45 pm ICT by IANSLos Angeles, June 25 (IANS) Actress-singer Jennifer Hudson, who became famous as a contestant on “American Idol”, will return to the small screen. She will make a guest appearance in musical series “Smash”.
The show focuses on the world of New York’s theatre district.
“First ‘Dreamgirls’, now ‘Smash’. I have no doubt Jennifer will continue to deliver even more inspiration to the audience responsible for giving us a second season on National Broadcasting Company (NBC),” contactmusic.com quoted show’s executive producer Steven Spielberg as saying.
Hudson, 30, will be joined by another “American Idol” participant, Katherine MCPhee, on the show.
