New Delhi, April 25 (IANS) A team from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is likely to arrive in Delhi Tuesday to discuss the funding of Phase-III of Delhi Metro.

“A team from JICA is likely to arrive in Delhi tomorrow (Tuesday) to discuss the funding of Phase III. We had doubts whether Japan would fund the third phase of Delhi Metro after the country was struck by a major earthquake recently,” a Delhi government official said.

The Delhi Metro Phase III will cover 103.05 km of new lines and is expected to be completed by March 2016. In the first and second phases of Delhi Metro, JICA had funded 55 percent of the project cost.
