Jamia invites application to course in West Asian studies
May 10th, 2010 - 6:57 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 10 (IANS) The Centre for West Asian Studies of the Jamia Milia Monday invited applications for its integrated M.Phil-PhD programme in international relations with special focus on India’s relation with West Asia.
“The Centre for West Asian Studies promotes specialized studies of the Mashreq and Magreb region, Persian Gulf countries with emphasis on India-West Asia relations, security in the region, energy issues and Indian diaspora across the region among others,” an official statement said.
“In the integrated programme, students are initially admitted at the M.Phil level and after the successful completion of the course work, they are provisionally admitted to the PhD programme,” it added.
The intake capacity for the programme is 15. The last date for applying for the course is June 18.
