It’s embarrassing for Mendes to depend on outside food
June 5th, 2011 - 3:43 pm ICT by IANSLondon, June 5 (IANS) Actress Eva Mendes doesn’t know how to cook and says that it is embarrassing for her to rely on restaurant food and home deliveries for proper nourishment.
“I open the fridge and don’t know how to get from point A to point B. I do want to start because I feel really pathetic…at a certain age you’ve got to learn how to provide for yourself,” contactmusic.com quoted Mendes as saying.
“We get home delivery meals three times a week and we go out the rest of the time. It’s so embarrassing,” added the actress who is dating Peruvian filmmaker George Augusto.
Despite her lack in culinary prowess, the 37-year-old loves hosting “girls’ day” for her friends at her place.
“I quite often have a girls’ day on a Sunday where they all just come over and we talk about anything and everything. We get graphic, we get medical, we get emotional. There are no boys allowed and no alcohol, just tea and juices and one of my friends gets cupcakes. Some of the girls cook but I don’t - I just set the ambience. My thing is flower arranging,” she said.
