IT firm expands operations with $4-mn green data centre
February 26th, 2009 - 9:03 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bangalore, Feb 26 (IANS) IT infrastructure solutions and services firm Frontier Business Systems has set up a $4-million (Rs.200 million/Rs.20 crore) green data centre here to expand its operations across the country, the company said Thursday.
“The data centre’s green virtualisation solutions will enable enterprises to reduce cost while improving business service availability, agility and performance,” Frontier chief executive Ravi Verdes said in a statement.
Global IT marketing and consulting firm Gartner has rated virtualisation as one of the top strategic technologies for 2009.
“We have added virtualisation consulting solutions and services across servers, storage and network application platforms,” Verdes said.
With 550 employees across multiple locations, the Rs.2-billion Frontier has built capabilities in system integration, networking and data centre technologies.
The company has set a target of Rs.4 billion (Rs.400 crore) by fiscal 2011.
With a network of 10 offices across India and technology partners such as IBM, VMware and Cisco, customers like BHEL, Thompson-Reuters, Accenture, Alcatel-Lucent and ABB, Frontier is on an accelerated growth path, the statement added.
