Israeli woman robbed, three held
May 7th, 2011 - 7:35 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 7 (IANS) Three people were arrested for stealing the bag of an Israeli national while she was travelling in a train, police said Saturday.
Deepak, 32, Bali, 27, and Ravi, 22, were arrested Tuesday from west Delhi.
“They had stolen the bag of an Israeli national while she was coming to Delhi from Kathgodam by Ranikhet Express. The bag contained gold ornaments, cash and other materials,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Chand said.
He added that three more cases of bag lifting and pick pocketing in trains were solved after their arrest.
Stolen goods, including gold and artificial jewellery, worth lakhs of rupees were recovered from the three.
