Israeli warplanes using US missiles against Gaza militants: Report
December 31st, 2008 - 5:43 am ICT by IANSWashington, Dec 31 (Prensa Latina) Israeli warplanes are using US missiles in its latest attack on the Hamas-led militant groups in the Gaza Strip, a media report said.The Democracy Now radio station reported that Israeli fighter jets and combat helicopters are using US missiles in its air strikes on Gaza.
The US Congress had approved the sale of 1,000 GBU-39 bunker-buster missiles to Israel, the report said Tuesday.
More than 370 people have been killed in the latest fighting between Hamas-led militant groups and Israeli armed forces in the Gaza Strip since Saturday. Emergency officials said around 1,700 people have been injured.
Meanwhile, the 118-member Non Aligned Movement states have condemned the Gaza raid by Israel, saying, it is a serious violation of international laws.
NAM urges the Israeli government to immediately halt the military attacks on Gaza and fulfill its obligations under international laws and UN resolutions, the group said in a statement.
