International battery trade fair begins in Chandigarh Friday

Chandigarh, Jan 15 (IANS) More than 200 battery manufacturers from 13 countries, including the US, Britain, Australia and Hong Kong, will take part in a three-day global industry trade fair in Chandigarh from Friday.”This trade fair is aimed at providing technical knowledge to the small scale battery manufacturers of north India,” Yashpal Kanotra, president of Federation of Indian Small-Scale Battery associations told media here Thursday.

“They will also get a platform to voice their concerns and interact with other industrialists during the exhibition,” he said.

Some of the prominent brands that will participate in the fair include Star Gold, Taiwa, Nabco, Sterling, Mission, Kay Cee and Z-Power.

“This is the fourth edition of this annual trade fair of battery industry. Apart from foreign participation, battery companies from all over India will showcase their products here,” Kanotra said.
