Inspector commits suicide inside police station
April 18th, 2010 - 1:35 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, April 18 (IANS) A police inspector committed suicide early Sunday by shooting himself with his service revolver inside the suburban Borivli Police Station here, authorities said.
P.I. Shivaji Patil shot himself in his cabin. “Patil was on night duty. He was found dead when other policemen came to the station in the morning,” Additional Commissioner of Police Ramrao Pawar told IANS.
“A suicide note has been found. Patil wrote that he was married twice and his first wife was troubling him and asking for money. He also wrote about some health problems,” Pawar said.
Patil is survived by his second wife and two sons.
