Indie band owes Depp gambling money

September 7th, 2008 - 1:01 pm ICT by IANS -

London, Sep 7 (IANS) Actor Johnny Depp claims that the Indie band, We Were Scientists, owes him gambling money. The musicians played cards with him on the sets of the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean”.Mirror.co.uk reports that the band members claim they were so excited to meet him that they were distracted from playing well.

Bassist Chris Cain said: “It was amazing. He was infatuated that we’re in a band. I guess he’s always dreamed of being a rock star.”

But a few hours later they found themselves losing badly.

Singer Keith Murray said: “Depp is accusing us of owing him $28,000. But we heard Orlando Bloom was $800,000 in debt to Depp….”
