Indian shooter’s medals missing
October 13th, 2010 - 10:05 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 13 (IANS) Pistol shooter Heena Sidhu’s bag, containing the gold and silver medals won by her during the Commonwealth Games, went missing Wednesday when she placed her bag in the scanner during a routine security check at the Games Village here, police said.
“The authorities have made an announcement at the Village about the incident and the probe is on into the matter,” a police officer said.
Patiala girl Sidhu won silver medal in the 10 metre air pistol competition at the Karni Singh Shooting Range Wednesday.
Besides, Sidhu and Anu Raj Singh won the gold medal for India in the 10 metre air pistol pairs women’s event Tuesday.
