Indian Navy chief meets Myanmar president
August 26th, 2011 - 9:21 pm ICT by IANSYangon, Aug 26 (IANS) Indian Navy chief Admiral Nirmal Verma Friday called on Myanmar President U Thein Sein in the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw, state media reported.
Verma, leading a naval delegation, arrived in Myanmar Thursday on a goodwill visit. He was received by Myanmar Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Min Aung Hlaing, Xinhua reported.
The Indian Navy chief also met Myanmar’s Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Vice Admiral Nyan Tun and visited the National Defence College Thursday.
