New Delhi, Dec 20 (IANS) Delhi Police have unearthed an arms factory of the home grown Indian Mujahideen terror outfit and a stockpile of assembled and unassembled weapons has been seized, parliament was told Tuesday.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Jitendra Singh, in a written reply to the Lok Sabha, said the “factory manufacturing arms and ammunition being run by the Indian Mujahideen in Delhi was unearthed recently”.

“A stockpile of weapon parts - fully and half assembled weapon, explosives and tools have been recovered,” Singh said.

He did not specify the details about where the factory was located in the national capital.

The minister said it was busted after the arrest of seven Indian Mujahideen operatives, including a Pakistani national, in November.

“Two AK 47 rifles, 50 cartridges, one 9 mm pistol, 14 live cartridges, 1.4 kg of explosives, five detonators and fake Indian currency notes worth Rs.2 lakh, and incriminating material have been recovered from them,” he said.
