Indian equities markets closed Tuesday

New Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS) Indian equities markets were closed Tuesday on account of Muharram.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE had Monday edged lower closing at 16,805.33 points, 41.5 points or 0.25 percent down from its previous close at 16,846.83 points.
The 50-scrip S&P; CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange too had slipped 0.22 percent or 11 points at 5,039.15 points.
