India win Kotla Test by five wickets

New Delhi, Nov 9 (IANS) India won the first cricket Test against the West Indies by five wickets at the Ferozeshah Kotla here Wednesday.
The hosts, chasing a 276-run target, got home in 80.4 overs on the fourth day of the match.
Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar missed out on his 100th international hundred but his fluent 76 was the highest score in India’s second innings. VVS Laxman struck an unbeaten 58 while Virender Sehwag made 55.
Darren Sammy got two wickets for the West Indies.
