India, Oman sign memorandum on military cooperation
December 28th, 2011 - 11:50 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 28 (IANS) Providing a boost to their bilateral defence relations, India and Oman Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding for military cooperation for a five-year period.
The documents were signed here between Defence Minister A.K. Antony and Sultanate of Oman’s Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Hareb Al-Busaidi here during the latter’s three-day visit that concludes Thursday.
With the bilateral defence cooperation between India and Oman growing over the years, the navies of the two countries are conducting a joint exercise “Naseem Al Bahr” off the coast of Mumbai Dec 26-31.
