India NEWS, another Hindi news channel to go on air

New Delhi, Feb 22 (IANS) After Anurradha Prasad’s News 24, the ITV group is coming up with another Hindi news channel called India NEWS that promises to serve serious news to people across the country, including those in remote villages. With “Pal Pal Ki Khabar” as its tagline, the channel will also focus on issues concerning underprivileged people.
“Right now it is in the testing period. We are planning to go on air March 15,” said Harish Gupta, chief executive officer and editor-in-chief of the channel.
Gupta earlier led news channels like Janmat and Sab TV. Apart from him, social activists, intellectuals, and experts on politics and defence have been roped in for the editorial team that includes former BBC correspondents Mark Tully and Satish Jacob.
Apart from the news, the channel has crafted exclusive programmes like “Vishes”, which will examine crucial issues, and “Dharam Karam”, which will focus on religion and try to bring in flavours of ancient Vedic India.
The ITV group brings out the Hindi magazine India News and the daily Hindi newspaper Aaj Samaj.
The company also plans to start an English news channel, a Bhojpuri channel, a music channel and an FM radio station.

This is Mr. G, a normal Person from the pinkcity but have noticed something thats cruel. I dn’t w’nna reveal my name just b’caz i dn’t wn’t to create problems for my family but yet i m an Indian & would always be concerned ab’t the petty but yet important issues to be
mentioned to press. So that the Govn. realises the importance of these isues. Sir the issue i wanted to mention today is Yesterday’s incident i.e. 22nd April, 2008. Yesterday i was passing by LAVAN MARG, THE MAIN R.T.O STREET, JHALANA INSTITUTIONAL AREA in JAIPUR. There on the one corner of the street joining the JHALANA ROAD lies a YADAV HOSTEL. Where Few Inhuman People live. so
that day few girls were standing on the Bus stop n Waiting for the bus at the pickup point & i was passing by there, suddenly mostly all the
boys of YADAV HOSTEL started Shouting on those girls, teasing by taunts n comments. the gals standing there were really scared & started
weeping in tears & ran towards the bus quickly & jumped into the bus as soon as possible.Not only this that day my sister told me that since
last a month a person is unnecessarily giving her missed calls, late night calls & bad Non Veg Msg. But our father stoped us for giving a report in Police, b’caz he thinks no action would be taken against such criminals & it would create problem
for our family. At that very moment i decided to take action against it. See we all w’nna fight wid crime so we are suppressing gansters, terrorist, murderer but wat about the Devils & Monters living in our own society, who will curb these Evils. These Evils are not only there in Jaipur, these Evils are everywhere in India, infact more in metropolitan cities but none of us has come forward from our society to take steps n fight against these issues. We say we are independent as we fought with britishers to snach away our indipendence from them but today i think that are we really, where a society who’s atleast 1/3 of population are females, are they protected? can they walk at midnight without fear? Is someone like our police department will give them security?
The only answer is NO. b’caz i have really noticed in these past years that the hostels wheather it is private or institutional, few roudic guyz always try & disturb the law &order situation by showin there powers as few 100 boys live togather in a hostel, does that mean an ordinary man has know right of there respect or security, then for what are these police n police stations? i know those girls didn’t complain in police just to avoid situation as their family has tought them that please dont create any problems for ur family or urself. otherwise there marriages would t be stake if their names get engoulfed in such matters. but that really shows we are still not independent, espacially the Females. i don’t understand these inhuman guys who misbehave with girls just to fulfill their sexual desires, dn’t they feel they also have Parents, sisters, wifes & daughters in there homes & somene would do the same to them also. This incident not even happened at night it was sumthing b/w 7:00pm - 8:00pm. Today these Devils have terrorised the soul of those girls, in coming future the guyz & hostels like this would try & touch & will soon molest all the females for their sexual needs. I appreciate our Chief Minister Respected Vasundra Raje Ji who have started opration GARIMA but Is that opration still active to protect our moms, our sisters & our wifes from these evils.
I would like & sujjest the Govn. of India that we are spending so Much money on terrorism, foriegn affairs, exports, treaties thats ok for the development of our nation but still more important is the basic need for all citizen of INDIA to live freely & without any fear. Why Govn. of INDIA not spending money on such issues which really give freedom to female section, why not they are establishing special cells in each state just to deal wid the roudic crowd taking themselves as MAJNUs. More police people should be recruited just to ensure that really our country India is an Independent country. Plz Help India. so i need the support of all Media friendz to please emphasize this issue so that it’s voice goes in the ears of the leaders who are running our country. So that they make our INDIA a happy & peace living nation.

Dear Sir/Madam, I’m a citizen of Surajpur (Greater Noida). We all citizens of Surajpur are facing a huge problem for past few years. We are not provided electricity in the day time (9 am to 8 pm) regularly. During this period, some times electric power blinks for few moments and then again cut offs for the duration. We have made so many complaints to the seniors of the electricity board there but all in vain. Even once they have given in written to media once that they would at least provide us electricity from 7 pm to 7 am and 12 pm to 4 pm regularly but after few days, they start to cut off the electricity again. They provide all the electricity to the industrial area of Noida as it pays them much than domestic charges. Therefore, I request you to kindly look into the matter as there is nobody to hear our problem. The government is working blindly and can’t see our problem. We all citizens of Surajpur would be highly obliged to you.

Its my request to all of you that please brodcast this message on your India News channel. today I am not only condemning the terrorist attacks in mumbai but also very disappointed & I want to blurt out my thoughts about the law & orders in India which is pathatic. Why dont our police & army take few steps against the terrorism? Why you people dont take these terrorists out from the jail and kill them on public places or blast them? I know its against law but in your own public’s favour. I would also request to some of my country’s politicians that please do not doubt on these three martiers of our country just because of your vote bank as you doubt on late Shri Mohan Chand Sharma….And If you do so than I think you dont deserve the votes of who are against terrorism. Dear Sir / Madam,
The S M S(Sort Message Service) Campaign has been launched by Our Non Governmental Organisation PATH to pay homage to the brave warriors, who have sacrificed their precious lives, fighting for the safety of people of our nation. The content of message was following:
Please switch off your mobile from 7 to 8 PM on 1st December, 2008 to pay homage to our brave soldiers and citizens, who have lost, over and above sacrificing their lives in Mumbai terrorists attack.
As well as sent message through e mail to the people, whose e mail id’s are in our Database. (The Content is annexed herewith). This was an effort to sensitize the mass as well as send a positive message to our soldiers that people of our nation are always with those, who fight for the safety of our lives.
The specialty of this campaign was that we have included all Members of Parliament from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha apart from Ten V.V.I.Ps in this campaign, but unfortunately, majority of them have shown non compliance to react upon our request to switch off their mobile phone for mere one hour in the evening. And this only attitude of our leaders compels us to approach media to make people aware of their attitude and non concern to the well being on nation and its citizen.
We know that we could be harassed or black listed by leaders, or pen pushers for keeping this harsh truth before the media and the nation, but we are motivated enough to face the consequences.
While the lives of the people are not considerable to our leaders, many questions arise in the mind of a citizen and they need to know why they are our leaders? What are the rights and duties of a leader of India? Why should people rely and depend upon them? Do the soldiers sacrifice their lives in vein? And so forth…
