India go down to Chinese Taipei in Junior Davis Cup

New Delhi, April 18 (IANS) India lost 1-2 to Chinese Taipei in the Asia/Oceania final qualifying of Junior Davis Cup tennis tournament at the R.K. Khanna Tennis Stadium here Monday.
Chinese Taipei took a 1-0 lead when Chih-Chun Tang defeated India’s Fatehdeep Singh in the first singles. Shaik Abdullah helped India draw parity after he won 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 against Wen-Chun Liang.
The Indian boys, however, couldn’t win the men’s doubles and went down 6-7(6), 0-6 to Tand and Wen-Po Tseng.
