Surat, July 24 (IANS) A civic sanitary sub-inspector in Gujarat, who allegedly had illicit relations with a woman employee at his office, was brutally murdered by her husband Thursday morning. Rajesh Babaria inflicted six knife wounds fatally injuring Dharmendra Patel, the sanitary sub-inspector, in his office at Umrawada in Limbayat zone. The deceased is a resident of Tadad village of Olpad taluka of the district.
Ameena Bibi, secretary of Surat City Congress, who was present at the spot, said Dharmendra came out of his office profusely bleeding followed by Rajesh who kept shouting: “I have killed the person who destroyed my family”.
Rajesh was nabbed by locals and later handed over to the police.
Sub-Inspector of Salabatpura police H.N. Rathod said Jayshree, wife of Rajesh, is a sweeper in Umarwada health centre and was allegedly having an illicit relationship with Dharmendra.
