IGNOU organises seminar on improving distance learning
March 25th, 2011 - 6:40 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 25 (IANS) The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) organised a three-day seminar to improve quality of education through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode, an official said Friday.
The education of teachers through open and distance learning in the context of Right to Education was held March 22-24 along with the Distance Education Programme-Sarva Shiskha Abhiyan (DEP-SSA) in the campus, the official said.
“Teacher education system… if it works efficiently and proactively… (then) the health of the system will be in accordance to what the society demands,” said Suman Karandikar, director, Centre for Educational Studies (CES), Indian Institute of Education (IIE), Pune.
