IAF going through dynamic changes: Air Chief
November 17th, 2011 - 9:53 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, Nov 17 (IANS) The Indian Air Force (IAF) is going through dynamic changes, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal N.A.K. Browne said Thursday.
“We need to translate the motto of ‘people first and mission always’ into action for the desired outcome to fructify even as we go through dynamic changes and transformation,” Browne told the station commanders of the air force training command at a conference here.
Stressing the importance of mentoring and counselling, Browne urged the commanders to strive towards excellence in taking the air force to greater heights.
On his maiden visit to the city after assuming the top post July 31, Browne was given a ceremonial guard of honour at the training command centre in the city and briefed about the activities at the southern station.
Air officer commanding-in-chief Air Marshal Dhiraj Kukreja advised the station commanders to stay focused on standard training procedures for raising their benchmark.
The two-day conference, which began Wednesday, reviewed training in information security, work processes, fiscal prudence and guidelines on procurement and discussed human resources management to ensure men and machine work in tandem for modernizing training methods.
