Panaji, April 23 (IANS) A Kerala-bound railway passenger alleged Friday that three security personnel assaulted him at the Thivim station but that police refused to register a complaint.
Issac Louis said a Goa policeman and two Railway Protection Force (RPF) constables thrashed him Thursday when he protested the way they searched his bags for liquor, littering his clothes in the process.

“(When) I complained to the station master (Yamini Karapurkar), they got angry and beat me up,” Louis said. He said he was hit on his eyes and private parts.

“When I complained to the police at Mapusa, they refused to register my complaint, asking me to contact the railway police station more than 40 km away,” he said.
