New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS) Rambal Warriors might be without Michael Hussey in the Champions League, but team owner feels his absence would not hamper their chances in the showbiz Twenty20 tournament.Hussey would appear for Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings and not for his state team.

“It was his personal choice. But his absence won’t affect us. We have other good players like Shaun Marsh and Luke Ronchi,” said Vikas Rambal Tuesday.

Asked, if he was still in negotiations to buy Deccan Chargers, Rambal said: “My advisors are in touch with them. The negotiations are at an initial stage.”

Rambal struck a jersey sponsorship deal with host broadcaster ESPN Star Sports for the inaugural tournament starting Dec 3.

The deal involves various unique visibility initiatives from ESPN to give focus to the Warriors during the tournament.

Delhi-born Non-Resident Indian (NRI) businessman Rambal has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) Twenty20 team Warriors which is now called Rambal Warriors.

“It is a win win situation for both of us. With this arrangement with ESPN Star Sports we will give our players a great opportunity,” Rambal said.
