Husband, wife found dead in Agra
August 29th, 2010 - 11:14 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Agra, Aug 29 (IANS) A state roadways bus driver hanged himself to death and his wife was found dead with deep bruises around her neck in this Uttar Pradesh city’s Shah Ganj locality, police said.
According to the police, Sagir Qureshi, 43, and Shabnam, 35, were found dead by their children Sonam, 14, and Salman, 12, Sunday morning.
Police said Sagir’s body was hanging with a rope tied to the ceiling, while Shabnam’s body lay in blood.
Police said Shabnam was Sagir’s second wife. The first wife, Yasmee, lives with her parents and has seven children whose upbringing was being financed by Sagir.
Shabnam was not happy with the arrangement, which led to frequent fights, neighbours said.
