Husband, aide arrested over wife’s murder
June 15th, 2011 - 10:06 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 15 (IANS) A man was arrested along with an associate over the murder of his 28-year-old wife, police said Wednesday.
Anoop Singh, 31, persuaded Prem Singh, 26, to kill his wife “after finding that she was entertaining men for sex”, Additional Commissioner of Police Ajay Chaudhry said.
The husband allegedly promised the man, a security guard, a better job if he killed his (Anoop’s) wife.
Prem Singh were arrested from Chiragh Delhi area last week and Anoop Singh was held Tuesday.
The woman’s body was found May 27 at their house in Okhla Industrial area.
“Dinesh Singh, the woman’s brother, found her dead inside the house. The main door was open and empty bottles of alcohol were seen there,” said Chaudhry.
Police said Anoop Singh along with nephew Mangal Singh went to a relative’s place in Nangloi May 26 night.
