Human skulls, bones found at a Chennai rail terminal

Chennai, July 11 (IANS) At least four human skulls and several bones were found at a rail terminal here Friday, causing a minor flutter. The discovery was made when platforms were being widened at Egmore to accommodate trains with higher number of coaches. The bones, which have been sent for forensic examination, could be at least 25 years old, said K. Sarangan, a senior police official.

Till recently, the space was occupied by unauthorised hutments. There were, however, no known burial sites in the area owned by the railways, sources added.
